LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Leon County crews are closely watching the Gulf and preparing crews for a storm.
Emergency Management Director Kevin Peters says this system has the potential to bring a lot of rain in the area, so you should stay updated on the storm's projected path.
He says families should have their preparedness plan in place in case conditions worsen.
"They need to have their plan if the storm does strengthen, if it does come this way they need to be ready," said Peters. "And they need to top off their disaster supply kit just to be ready this weekend."
Peters says just because hurricane season ends November 30, people must have their hurricane kits on hand in case of an emergency.
