LCSO shuts down drug house, arrests two men

LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — After an ongoing investigation, the Leon County Sheriff's Office says they have shut down a local drug house that was distributing several drugs, to include flakka, cannabis edibles and cocaine.

On March 22, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit searched a home in the 2900 block of Fairview Drive. The search warrant was the culmination of an ongoing investigation over the last month.

The main suspect, 39-year-old Jamie Hampton, and resident of the house, 36-year-old James Johnson, were inside the home when deputies searched it.

Inside the house, LCSO detectives located four firearms (two of which were reported stolen), cocaine, Ecstacy, Alpha PVP (flakka), cannabis, cannabis edibles, and money.

Both men were arrested and taken to the Leon County Detention Facility. They are facing the following charges:

Jamie O. Hampton: Grand Theft of Firearm (2 Counts), Possession of Weapon or Ammo by Convicted Felon (5 counts), Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Sell, Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Sell, Possession of Synthetic Narcotic with the Intent to Sell (3 counts), Manufacture Synthetic Cannabinoid, Maintain a Drug House, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
