LEON COUNTY, Fl.a (WTXL) — The mask ordinance in Leon County is here to stay for the foreseeable future.
Leon County commissioners addressed the topic during a meeting on Tuesday. Commissioners said they believe the ordinance is important to continue to slow the spread of COVID-19 in the county.
They plan to revisit the topic later this year or possibly even early next year.
This comes after Gov. DeSantis moved the state into Phase Three of the reopening plan and barred counties from fining individuals who violate local mask orders.
