TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Based on Governor Ron DeSantis' push to Phase Three, County Commission chair Bryan Desloge said he will recommend opening all sports at the next commissioners meeting.

Desloge referenced the wishes of parents and coaches as additional reasons to reopen

"I've talked to the parents, I've talked to the coaches, I've revisited this with staff," said Desloge. "Frankly, I think we out to be able to play ball. I'm going to recommend Tuesday, at least in my time as chairman we consider that. Now whether or not the rest of the commission goes along with that is to be determined."

Desloge said people have a choice whether or not they want to attend school in person, to play sports, and intramurals.

The next County Commission meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. To watch live or submit questions click here.
