TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Leon County Clerk's office is hosting a license reinstatement event next month.

Drivers with a suspended driver licenses due to outstanding court obligations are invited to come to the court house.

People who live in Leon County can pay their outstanding balances, get payment plans, or even get their license re-instated on the spot. Even if you're not able to pay, you can ask the court to change your fines to community service hours.

The Leon County Clerk's office says this is a good opportunity to get information and ask questions.

"It gives them a road map on how to obtain their license and pretty much we provide them information on their outstanding obligations," said Gwen Marshall, the Leon County Clerk Of Court. "If in fact they have to go through another agency, at least they have some direction on how to accomplish getting their driver's license restored."

There are some situations that wont qualify for this event, like child support, and DUIs.

The event will happen on March 7 from 9 to 3 p.m. at the courthouse in downtown Tallahassee.
