TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Legal Services of North Florida serves 16-counties throughout the Panhandle.
On Thursday at 6 p.m., they’re hosting a free virtual family law clinic. They’ll address common issues like custody battles, divorce and even property issues.
If you need help with a case, all of their services are free.
“Some people get delayed and aren’t sure how to move the case forward,” said Director of Pro Bono & Volunteer Engagement Colleen Mullen. “So that’s part of the hope. We have Gwen Marshall who’s our clerk of Leon county courts coming. She’ll be discussing how the clerks office can also be a resource.”
Another issue that will be addressed is what to do if you’re facing eviction.
“The governors moratorium lifts in a little over a week,” said Mullen. “So we have all of the attorneys that have worked with us in the past on eviction cases. They will be here to help. We’ve expecting quite a bit of questions especially with the unemployment rate right now.”
The clinic will last roughly 90 minutes and there will be a question and answer portion at the end.
