LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Leon County Sheriff's office says a 24-year-old man suspected of trafficking meth and heroin in Leon County is off the streets after a traffic stop Friday morning.
Deputies say they conducted a traffic stop on a black Mercedes for a traffic infraction just after 2 a.m. Friday morning.
The driver of the car, 27-year-old Carlee Dupree, told deputies that her driver's license was suspended. After a K-9 alerted to the presence of illegal drugs in the car, deputies searched the car.
That's when LCSO says they found a loaded gun, more than three ounces of meth, nearly eight grams of heroin, Alprazolam pills and Hydrochloride pills and drug paraphernalia inside the car.
The passenger, 24-year-old Forrest Price, admitted that all the illegal items belonged to him.
Both Price and Dupree were arrested. Price was charged with trafficking in meth, trafficking in heroin, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a conviced felon.
