LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Another traffic stop has lead the Leon County Sheriff's office to get another gun and suspected drug dealer off the street.

Deputies say that they arrested 27-year-old Geovani Montiel on Wednesday.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Projects Investigations Detection Enforcement Response (SPIDER) Unit conducted a traffic stop on a red sedan at the intersection of Wiggington Road and Crowder Road for a traffic violation.

During the course of the traffic stop, the driver, Geovani, was found to be in possession of 22 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of cannabis, $992.00 in cash, baggies, a digital scale, and a loaded 9mm Sig-Sauer firearm.

He was arrested and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.

Montiel's arrest follows LCSO's announcement of two other arrests on Wednesday. One involved a wanted 17-year-old and another involved a 32-year-old man. During both of those arrests, deputies confiscated two stolen guns, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
