LCSO searching for suspect who hit two patrol cars

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Leon County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect who hit two LCSO patrol cars and a civilian car before escaping on foot Friday night.

According to LCSO, a deputy was taking someone to a detention facility when they saw someone passed out in a vehicle on Pensacola.

Deputies tried to make contact and blocked him in with patrol cars.

LCSO said the suspect got startled, and he ended up driving forward and backward hitting the two patrol cars blocking him in.

He was able to drive out from between the two patrol cars. He then hit another car then stopped and ran on foot, according to LCSO.

Deputies are searching for the suspect and say there is no reason to believe the public is in danger.
