LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Deputies say 65-year-old Timothy Gaines has been found safe and sound.


The Leon County Sheriff's office is searching for a missing 65-year-old man with Alzheimer's who may have removed his Project Life Saver band.

LCSO is searching for 65-year-old Timothy Gaines.

He is an Alzheimer’s patient and was equipped with a Project Life Saver band that may have removed. Deputies have deployed tracking equipment at the location where he was last seen.

They say witnesses last saw him walking south on Monroe Street, near 8th Avenue approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday. He was last seen wearing a black windbreaker with a green stripe across the chest, jeans and black sneakers.
