TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A Tallahassee man is behind bars after deputies caught him throwing drugs outside his vehicle, while leading them on a chase.
On Monday, LCSO S.P.I.D.E.R. Unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Honda in the area of Basin Street for a moving violation.
However the vehicle fled and led deputies on a chase.
Minutes later deputies found the Honda on Charlotte Street and identified the driver as George Jones.
As deputies were approaching the Honda, they caught Jones throwing cannabis and meth out of the vehicle.
Deputies say Jones was found with 13 grams of meth, cannabis, and $902 in cash.
Jones was immediately arrested and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility. He is facing a series of charges including tampering with evidence and possession of cannabis and meth with intent to sell.
