LEON COUNTY, Fla. — The Leon County Sheriff's Office hosted kids and they had a day packed with activities.
Thursday morning the kids got lessons on internet safety and crime scenes and they got to see a K-9 Demonstration and a SWAT and Special Teams display.
"Any time that you can have a child see what goes on in a local law enforcement agency is really important," said LCSO Deputy Dave Teems. "It's become even more special when it becomes their parents that are involved with what's happening everyday. We just love to be able to show the community what we do everyday and how we service the community."
Thursday afternoon they shadowed their parents and then got a tour of the detention facility.
