LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — In the days since the storms, our community has come together to lend a helping hand.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office is hoping to do the same with their Tornado Relief Supply Drive. They are looking for things like plastic bins, cleaning supplies, rakes, shovels and toiletries.
Everything collected will go to neighbors in the Baum community.
Deputy Dave Teems says the sheriff's office wants to help.
"We're always apart of the community. One of our retired deputies actually lives in that community and his house was completely destroyed, so we live in this community," Deputy Teems said. "We want to make sure we can help however we can."
You can bring your donations to the Leon County Sheriff's Office or The Salvation Army's Administration building.
The drive runs until next Wednesday.
