LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A Leon County School bus driver has been suspended after telling Hispanic students "we speak English here."
Sherrill Conner returned her bus back to Godby High School and informed the assistant principal that the students were being disruptive, so she kicked them off the bus.
According to LCS Spokesperson Chris Petley, they received complaints from parents about the incident on Tuesday afternoon. When they went to check video of the incident, it confirmed what the parents said and Conner was immediately placed on administrative leave.
Petley said the video of the incident is not public record.
The incident is currently under investigation.
