TALLAHASSEE, Fla.(WTXL) — People packed the Cottages at Lake Ella all to celebrate St. Patrick.

People both old and young came out to jig, taste the food, and experience the culture at the 10th annual St. Patrick's Festival.

"This has a particular highlight because we are celebrating not just our culture, but all Celtic culture," said Susan Philbrick, Tallahassee Irish Society Board Member.

"The Scots and the Irish are quite close. Kin you might say," said Eric King.

Many people came out to show the importance of knowing your identity.

"Who am I? Where do I come from? And when you discover that, you like to celebrate that. That's essentially what they were doing.

The festival showed you don't need a four leaf clover or a pot of gold to be lucky, you just have to know and love your history.
