Jefferson Somerset was placed on lockdown after reports of suspicious people on campus

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. — Jefferson Somerset was placed on lockdown after reports of suspicious people/activity on campus.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Jefferson Somerset was placed on lockdown at 12:00 p.m. Thursday.

Jefferson Somerset and the School Resource Deputies on scene (and additional deputies) immediately began investigating.

After about more than an hour, the lockdown was lifted after the report was not substantiated.

JCSO says there is no immediate danger and the investigation continues.
