TIFT COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — Tift County Sheriff’s Investigators and Agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating after human remains were found in Omega, Georgia.
Investigators received information about possible human remains at a property located Omega, Ga. on Friday, August 14.
Tift County Sheriff’s Investigators and Agents with Georgia Bureau of Investigation obtained a search warrant for the property.
After conducting a thorough examination of the property, buried human remains were found at 456 Urbana Road.
The remains were transported to the GBI Macon Crime Lab to be examined.
At this time, the remains have not yet been identified.
TCSO requested the GBI to assist in a death investigation, which remains active and ongoing with both GBI Agents and Tift County Sheriff’s Investigators.
