LEON COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation says the intersection of North Monroe Street and Talpeco Road will be temporarily closed for six weeks beginning Friday, June 12.
The intersection will be closed for approximately six weeks, while construction crews work to install a storm water drainage system and widen turn lanes.
FDOT says in order to establish construction parameters, there will be intermittent daytime lane closures of the inside lanes of U.S. 27 north and southbound beginning the morning of Thursday, June 11 and lasting into the morning hours of Friday, June 12.
During this time, the outside lane of both north and southbound U.S. 27 will remain open for through traffic.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
