TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — It's hard to believe we are less than a month away from hurricane season.
It's Hurricane Preparedness Week and Friday's theme hits home to many in the Big Bend area: Helping your neighbor.
We're living through some difficult times. A lot of people in Florida and southern Georgia were laid off and furloughed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Adding insult to injury, hurricane season is almost here.
So, make sure you reach out to someone you know that needs help.
It all starts with a simple phone call.
Help them collect the supplies they need to survive hurricane season, including flashlights, batteries, food and water.
