LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A plan has been announced to bring hundreds of jobs to Leon County.

Its a $2.3 million package called “Project Juggernaut.” The plan is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to Tallahassee over the next 10 years.

Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency has voted to go forward with the project that is estimated to bring 900 jobs to Tallahassee, including 239 new manufacturing jobs.

The name of the company that will bring these is not available to the public due to state law. Personnel from the Office of Economic Vitality are the only ones who have the company’s information.

Innovation Park is providing $800,000 to the project.

Tallahassee Mayor John Dailey says this package will be a game changer for Economic growth.

"Proper amendment by the city manager county administrator, representing the city and the county in the process of a governmental agency and it has been properly vetted by our staff here another governmental agency," said Dailey.

Mayor John Dailey, along with other blueprint board members, have expressed their support of this package. County Commissioner Proctor did oppose the project because he did not have the identity of the company.

The project will be discussed at another meeting Friday. They will then decide on what is next in the process.
