High speed chase in Moultrie ends in Thomas County, suspect arrested

COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. — A high speed chase that began in Moultrie ended in Thomas County Thursday morning.

The Thomas County Sheriff's Office says the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office was chasing the driver, but he traveled into Thomas County.

TCSO got the call at about 11:00 a.m. Thursday after the Colquitt Sheriff’s Office dispatch called for backup.

According to TCSO, the suspect tried to turn at the intersection of Highway 319 and 19, but authorities managed to “disable his car” there.

The suspect was turned over to the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office, but the suspect has not been identified and charges are unknown.

No vehicles were damaged except for the suspect's vehicle and there were no reported injuries.

Georgia State Patrol was also called in to assist in the chase.
