Havana man arrested in connection to human trafficking, sexual battery investigation

LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A registered sex offender has been arrested on 40 counts related to child sex abuse and human trafficking after deputies say he paid to have sex with a child "at least 10 times," filmed it and later impregnated the child.

According to Leon County deputies, 47-year-old Johnny McNealy, a registered sex offender, was arrested on May 23 for multiple counts related to child sex crimes.

An arrest affidavit detailing the investigation by the Leon County Sheriff's office said that the department was first informed about the acts on May 22.

During an interview with deputies, the victim, a , disclosed that the two performed sexual acts on each other multiple times and had sexual intercourse, which McNealy paid for and video recorded with his cellphone.

Detectives with the LCSO Violent Crimes Unit spoke with McNealy, who admitted to having sexual intercourse with the victim multiple times.

Authorities say details of locations and sex acts matched those advised to investigators by the victim.

Further investigation revealed McNealy also had 17 videos of encounters between himself and the victim. He also admitted to having paid the victim for the sexual acts "at least 10 times."

During the investigation, McNealy was confirmed to be a registered sex offender in the state of Florida and had failed to register a social media account.

Based on the evidence, McNealy was charged with 10 counts of sexual battery with custodial authority, 10 counts of human trafficking, 17 counts of production of child pornography, one count of child cruelty by impregnating a child under 16, one count of lewd exhibition, one count of failure to report email/internet identifier.

McNealy is being held in jail without bond. According to court documents, he was previously convicted of lewd battery in Gadsden County back in 1993.
