TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — This Wednesday, Tallahassee City commissioners will take your comments on a proposed conversion therapy ban.

Monday, a group gathered in front of city hall to support of the ban.

Several organizations from around the city came out including some city commissioners.

They're hoping commissioners and the mayor would hear their reasons for the ban.

"Conversion therapy really exacerbates that level of therapy to where it could damage someones life," Delilah Pierre, of the Tallahassee community action committee said. "So i will stand against it forever, because it is damaging to queer children, queer adults and anyone who goes through that process."

The proposed ban has been in the works since December 2019.
