ATLANTA, Ga. (WTXL) — Georgia Governor Brian Kemp issues an Executive Order extending the ban on gatherings of more than 50 people.

Gov. Kemp said Executive Order 07.15.20.01 also renews business restrictions and protects the medically fragile. In a statement, he said he strongly encourages Georgians to wear masks in public.

"To flatten the curve, I urge all local elected officials to enforce the terms of this order," said Gov. Kemp. "Together, we will keep fighting #COVID19, weather this storm, and emerge stronger than ever."

The order goes into effect July 16 at 12:00 a.m. until July 31 at 11:59 p.m.
