TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — State employees will now have access to free telehealth services thanks to an executive order issued by Governor Ron DeSantis on Thursday.
The executive order amends the state employee health benefits plan, allowing state employees to get access to telehealth services through the state's contracted HMO plans and PPO organization plan without any cost to them.
This also extends telehealth services to state employee pharmacy benefits and allows state employees to receive free flu vaccinations.
The order applies to any state employee participating in the State Employees' Group Insurance Program.
"State Employees across Florida are working tirelessly to support the COVID-19 response effort by providing mission critical support to protect all Floridians," the order read.
