TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis held a press conference Thursday at the Florida State Capitol where he gave some updates.
Governor DeSantis says during a recent trip to Washington, D.C., he discussed the possibility of putting President Trump's proposed Space Force in Florida, but there is no indication that it will end up here.
The governor also talked about his decision to remove many of the people former Governor Rick Scott appointed before leaving office.
"These are folks that had not yet been confirmed by the senate. Some of them I didn't know, some of them I do, some of them I reckon I will reappoint," said DeSantis. "But I think it's important for us to be able to take a fresh look at all of this and be sure we have folks who are going to be working hard to put stuff in the right direction."
DeSantis also discussed education reform.
