TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Governor Ron Desantis has been all over the state this week highlighting various events.
He took time back in Tallahassee on Wednesday to attend the 2019 Legislative Prayer Breakfast.
In the past, the governor hasn't been shy about discussing his faith, saying that he's not worried about whose side God is on, just that he wants to make sure he is on God's side.
DeSantis talked about the liberty that Constitution writers believed belongs to every person.
"We the people have the power to create government under a Constitution to do certain things. But primarily to protect the rights that we already possess," said DeSantis.
In January, DeSantis conducted a prayer breakfast as part of his inauguration activities.
