GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. — Officials in Gadsden County are working to keep their residents safe.
Gadsden continues to give out sandbags in hopes to prevent flooding.
Hurricane Michael left a lot of damage and Major Shawn Woods says some homes still have damaged roofs due to heavy rain.
The county asks that those who can subscribe to a text alert service to get updates about emergency services.
"We're really watching it close. We're asking our citizens to sign up as you can see behind me the alert Gadsden sign up for it watch the social media, stay tuned to your local news media for information as this storm has changed so much over the last couple of days it can change again," said Major Wood.
Officials ask that citizens get their gas and other necessities before supplies run out.
