GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. — The agriculture industry in Gadsden County just got a huge boost.
County and extension agents officially broke ground on a $2 million Agricultural Center to house Gadsden County Extension Services and host educational, agricultural and community related activities, workshops, and training institutes.
Commissioner Brenda Holt says this is a great day for the future of agriculture in Gadsden County.
"For the farmers to be able to take care of their business, do cattle shows and that sort of thing but also bringing citizens who know nothing about growing and the farmers get an opportunity to sell those products and tell the young people what it takes to grow and where their vegetables come from," said Holt.
The Agricultural Center should be completed by June 2020.
