GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Streets in Gadsden County are submerged in ankle deep water after rain from Tropical Storm Sally.
People living in Pineview Manor Apartments on Barack Obama Blvd. are taking to their doorsteps to watch the water level rise.
Johnny Hall says in the 10 years he’s lived here through storms like Hermine and Michael, his neighborhood hasn’t been threatened by flooding as much as Wednesday.
“It’s kind of bad to me," said Hall. "I really don’t like it because it’s inside the homes too; kitchen, front room, living room, bathroom. It’s sinking through the baseboards."
Maintenance workers at the complex say there are only and handful of units currently affected, but that there will be more if rain continues and flood water rises.
