QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) — A word of prayer for schools in Gadsden County.
Sunday afternoon church leaders came together for a virtual prayer service...something normally held in person at the start of each school year.
The safety of students and staff was the main priority.
Clergy praying in categories from bus drivers down to digital devices and other tech.
Pastors say this was about uniting in belief...despite the debate of returning to physical classrooms or not.
"Regardless if we agree or disagree that the schools should be opening on tomorrow. The reality is tomorrow morning their going to be open so instead of us keyboard assassinating them...we need to do our best to cover them,"said Pastor Derrick Sykes.
Everyone showed their support for the Gadsden County school board...in hopes for the best.
