GADSDEN COUNTY, Fl. (WTXL) — Saturday was night two of the Gadsden County curfew. It is part of the county's "stay at home" order. The curfew went into effect Friday night.

The Gadsden County Sheriffs Department is out from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. making sure people go inside once the 9:00 p.m. curfew hits.

Lt. Anglie Hightower explained that on Friday night, there were groups that violated the order, but that a SWAT team with the department pushed the crowds to head inside. For the most part, Lt. Hightower said there have not been any major issues, and that the people who are being stopped by deputies are given a warning.

"We'll give them a verbal warning of course," explained Lt. Anglie Hightower. "And maybe reiterate to what the county has passed down as far as the order, to not be out roaming past 9 pm. Unless you're going to and from work, to a medical facility if you're sick, or you know, have to run to the store real quick. But now, since the curfew has been put in place, most of the stores and businesses are closed by then, anyway."

There is no set date as to when the curfew will be lifted.
