GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Veterans in Gadsden County got some recognition along with a free lunch plate during a drive through luncheon on Wednesday.
Gadsden County commissioners and volunteers served more than 200 lunches to vets and their families at the Gadsden County Agriculture Building.
Those we spoke with say they are proud to have served and grateful to receive the honor in their community.
"I served 8 years in as a military policeman in the United States Army, and it was the best thing that I did being from Gadsden County," said Kurk Bradwell, a Gadsden County veteran. "It gave me opportunity."
Gadsden County is home to more than 3,000 vets like Bradwell.
