TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida State Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect accused of following women around campus.

FSU PD says the incidents involving the suspect happened in the early morning hours around 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Jan. 29 and Jan. 30.

FSU PD spokesperson Lt. John Baker told ABC 27 that the suspect is wanted on a simple battery charge after being accused of inappropriately touching a female FSU student while she and her friend were walking home on Jan. 29.

After the incident, the two women ran away from the suspect into their residence hall and police said the suspect followed them.

During the early morning hours of Jan. 30, the suspect was seen acting “very forward” towards some other women near campus, according to FSU PD investigators.

The two victims from the incident on Jan. 29 recognized the suspect and called the police, leading them to put out an alert on social media.

It is not known if the suspect is an FSU student or not, Lt. Baker said.

FSU Police is asking people to call them at (850) 644-1234 with any information that could lead them to the identity of the suspect.
