TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — One FSU student is giving his classmates a stylish way to carry their books all while helping children in other countries.

FSU Junior Daniel Grusky started selling the bookbags around campus two years ago with his roomate Jhon Orozco.

The Jhonmich backpacks became an instant success, not only because of their look, but also because of the young entrepreneur's business model.

For every bag purchased, the team sends another one full of supplies to children in countries like Guatemala, Mexico, and Venezuela.

"Those kids were going to school with no supplies. The had pencils and pens in Ziplock bags. It was an unbelievable experience to be able to help out," said Grusky. "So when we did those donations and saw the smiles on those kids faces, that's what it's all about. We don't judge the business off of how many bags we sell. We base it off of the smiles on faces."

The team has recently started to make custom orders for bulk order as well.
