TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A new health clinic is officially open and accepting patients.

The center is a part of the Florida State University School of Medicine. The school identified the area as the highest need for a medical clinic.

Now anyone in the area will be able to visit the center that is offering primary and behavioral health needs, and even community meeting spaces.

The center is also helping students receive real world job training while they study.

"It feels great. We know from the calls that we are receiving it has been a big need to have things in this area. Everyone is super excited to be here this morning, everyone was early for work this morning, ready to greet those patients," said Sherri Swilley, Head of Clinical Operations.

The center is located on Roberts Avenue and features 17 exam rooms and two rooms for procedures.
