FSU police investigating on campus robbery

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — FSU Police Department is investigating an on campus robbery that occurred Sunday morning.

Authorities say at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday morning, FSU PD responded to a report of a robbery of pizza delivery near Wildwood Hall.

The victim told police that the suspect demanded pizza and implied he had a weapon in his car.

The victim says they immediately handed over the pizza to the suspect . After stealing the pizza, police say the suspect left the campus.

Police say thankfully no one was injured during the incident.

As a response to this incident, FSU PD offered students tips on how to avoid a robbery.

Some of the tips include:

  • Do not travel on foot alone
  • If possible, use resources like SAFE Escort or Nole cab
  • Avoid isolated locations
  • Report suspicious behavior and activities immediately to police.
