TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Growing up watching FSU baseball, Connor Goodspeed says he's been waiting for this season his whole life.
"I've been a Florida State fan my whole life so it's really cool to see them get this far. It's the first time they've won their first series game since 1999 so we're all excited to be a part of this," said Goodspeed.
And Goodspeed is hoping the team will be this year's college World Series champions.
"Seeing the baseball team do something they haven't done in a long time would be really awesome," said Goodspeed.
Seminoles fans pulling together to cheer on their fellow Noles.
And even as an alumni, Zach Rittberg hasn't lost his excitement for cheering on his team at his favorite college town spots.
"I don't think there's a better place in Tallahassee that bleeds garnet and gold as much as this place does. And I bleed garnet and gold," said Rittberg.
And Rittberg says to see the baseball team get this far is unreal.
"Some people were doubters they said oh we couldn't make it this far. But guess what when you're with Mike Martin you're going to make it this far," Rittberg.
Fans filled with pride, cheering on the noles as they fight their way to a championship.
Fans after Monday's loss told WTXL they're still behind the team all the way. They're happy to see them even make it this far and they'll be cheering on them on even harder at their next game.
