TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The holiday season is about giving back and here in the Capital City, people are coming together to do just that.

Lindsey Wilson is a mom of three young boys who was diagnosed with breast cancer just two weeks ago.

When her friends got word, they immediately started raising money for her treatments and child care.

So far, almost $4,000 have been raised in donations for Wilson in just a week's time.

Without her knowing, her friends started a fundraiser on Facebook. The amount of support from people she's never met has her at a lost for words.

"To see so many people coming to help us there's no words there's no words," said Wilson. "It really, it helps me feel like I'm not in this journey alone which is a big thing."

Wilson's husband, Rhett, works while Lindsey cares for the kids at home.

Rhett will now have to juggle it all for the next month or two.

Wilson just got word Monday morning she will undergo a double mastectomy on Tuesday to remove the cancer.

Since she will be in the hospital for a few days, she celebrated Christmas on Monday with her boys.
