(WTXL) — Executive Chef and Culinary Ambassador for Florida's Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Justin Timineri joined WTXL on Friday to share some holiday cooking tips.

Starting this month, you can find Florida bell peppers, snap beans, and squash in addition to avocados, tomatoes, citrus, and sweet corn.

Timineri says Fresh From Florida developed recipes in their test kitchen that are perfect for Thanksgiving.

On Friday, they spoke about their Green Bean Casserole, Sweet Corn Sauté, Vegetable Quiche, and Honey and Orange Glazed Grouper.

If individuals prefer the classic Turkey for Thanksgiving, then Timineri says they should reserve a Florida-raised Turkey from one of the member farms.

Timineri says they want to challenge people to at least one dish featuring Fresh From Florida ingredients this Thanksgiving.

When you buy Fresh From Florida, you're supporting Florida farmers.
