TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Need something to do this weekend that, of course, involves social distancing? This weekend is a free fishing weekend in Florida.
It's a great opportunity for people who don't have a fishing license to fish without paying the license fee.
This first weekend in April, as well as the second consecutive Saturday and Sunday of June, are Florida's license-free fishing days. Again, social distancing guidelines under Florida's safer at home order still apply.
According to FWC, that means all recreational boats must be at least 50 feet apart and each recreational vessel must not have more than 10 people on board. You can find full details and additional proactive measures the FWC is implementing here: https://bit.ly/2WGUKX8
