FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. — The Franklin County Sheriff's Office continues their partnership with Sol Relief, a St. Petersburg charity organization helping those directly impacted by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas.

Franklin County Sheriff AJ Smith spoke on Tuesday to share their plans for this supply drive and a message to those affected by this storm.

"We're not doing this looking for anything in return. We just wanna be, we just wanna help, and I know that everybody's hearts go out to these folks in the Bahamas," said Sheriff Smith. "We see the pictures, we see the catastrophic destruction and we know that they're just devastated by what they're going through and hopefully what we do will be a blessing to them and help them try to get their lives back to normal."

Sheriff Smith says they will be putting supply boxes together and accepting donations until Tuesday, Sept. 10.

If you have supplies you'd like to donate, you can bring them directly to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. If you'd like to help by donating money, checks can be written out to "Franklin County Sheriff's Office Charity Fund".
