FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — After closing on Tuesday, Franklin County Schools will stay closed on Wednesday out of abundance of caution for Hurricane Sally.

"After careful consideration and reviewing current weather conditions with forecasts calling for much more rain tomorrow, all Franklin County schools will remain closed through Wednesday, September 16th," the district wrote in a Facebook post.

School officials say Nov. 6 will be a weather makeup day for Tuesday and will be a regular school attendance day. There's no word on a make up day for Wednesday.

Parents are encouraged to continue to follow the district's Facebook page and ensure that their contact information is correct in FOCUS.
