FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Franklin County Board of County Commissioners issues an order imposing a County Wide Burn Ban for Franklin County.
The burn ban has been imposed due to the lack of any significant amount of rain fall for the county and drought conditions existing across the state.
Open fires and the use of outdoor burning devices are prohibited, except for above ground self-contained cooking grills that are attended to and monitored by responsible adults.
The use of charcoal briquettes is allowed as long as the briquettes are thoroughly extinguished with water after use.
All burning of yard debris is prohibited.
