Franklin County EMS arrested for sexually assaulting elderly patient, others

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A man who is employed as an EMS professional with Franklin County has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting multiple patients during ambulance transportation.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested 44-year-old Robert E. Lee Major for sexual assault and lewd and lascivious molestation of elderly disabled person.

Deputies say Major is employed as an emergency medical services professional with Franklin County. He works at Weems Memorial Hospital.

He is accused of touching patients inappropriately during transportation. They say one victim came forward to file a complaint, stating that he had put his hand inside of her underwear, touching her genital area. The victim also states that he grabbed her hand and rubbed it against his genitals.

Since this complaint, others have come forward and the case is still being investigated.
