(WTXL) — Former Florida State defensive end Brian Burns partnered with Academy Sports + Outdoors to give back to Charlotte first responders this Thanksgiving season.
Academy Sports and Burns, who currently plays for the Carolina Panthers, delivered turkey fryers, oil, seasonings, and grocery gift cards to all 42 of Charlotte, North Carolina's fire stations on Wednesday.
Academy Sports says each fire station will use these supplies to host their own Thanksgiving dinner at the firehouse.
They say the supplies will come in handy while the firefighters have to work and be away from their loved ones during the holiday.
