Grammy-winning duo for KING & COUNTRY will be bringing their “A Drummer Boy Drive-In: The Christmas Tour” to the Donald L. Tucker Center parking lot on Dec. 17.
The Christian pop duo will be coming to Tallahassee with a twist: The concert will be in the parking lot of an arena instead of inside the arena, and they will be performing to parked cars instead of packed seats.
“It’s been a difficult year for so many,” said Joel Smallbone of for KING & COUNTRY. “Now more than ever, we felt compelled to get out on the road in a safe and socially distanced way to spread the joy and spirit of Christmas in the best way we know – by sharing a night of music celebrating the greatest hope the world has ever known.”
All audience and staff will be required to wear a mask and social distancing protocols will be enforced, with tickets being sold per car with a maximum of six people per vehicle.
For KING & COUNTRY is also partnering with The Salvation Army for a national toy drive that asks concert-goers to bring new, unwrapped toys that will be collected by representatives from the local Salvation Army and distributed to families struggling during the holiday season.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. To purchase tickets, visit the Tucker Center’s website or visit the Tucker Center Box Office in person Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
