TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A push to strengthen Florida's workforce.

Tuesday, state leaders gathered in the Capital City to announce a new information technology apprenticeship program at Inspired Technologies.

This comes in celebration of National Apprenticeship Week.

Through the program, job seekers can receive on the job training while earning money. State leaders say apprenticeship programs can help reduce turnover rates, increase productivity, and increase safety in the workplace.

This is the first year Inspired Technologies has adopted the program and they are overall pleased with how it's going.

"What we are staring to find out is that the investment is truly worth it," said Craig Goodson, a managing partner with Inspired Technologies. "We are finding really good entry level folks that can grow our methodology and that's invaluable."
