TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Department of Education has released school district grades for the 2018/19 school year.
According to state officials, 36 percent of schools got an "A," which is 31percent up from 2017/18.
The state report also says that 81% of "F"-graded schools in 2017/18 improved their grade this past year by one or more letter grade.
The Florida Department of Education calculates school grades annually based on up to 11 components, including student achievement and learning gains on statewide, standardized assessments and high school graduation rate.
