This weekend at the Florida Capital tens of thousands of "hand art work" were placed all over the rotunda.
Art work made by students all across Florida now hang in the Capital, a sight hard to miss if you enter from the front of the building.
The covering of the rotunda is a part of the Florida's children's week, which kicked off Sunday.
About 100 people participated in the event which is put on by United way of Florida in partnership with other organizations such at Guardian AD Litem.
The executive director of Guardian AD Litem explains the importance of this art work.
"This will make sure that every legislator will recognize that the bills they are passing, the laws they are passing, and the budgets they are passing directly impact children," said Alan Abramowitz the Executive Director, StatEwide Guardian Ad Litem.
Volunteers say the hanging up the hands impacts them as well as the lawmakers.
"I love kids, I love helping kids. I really want whatever is happening to always take precedent with children," said Sydney Selman, Event Coordinator, United Way of Florida.
